About the Girl Droning On

Hello! For anyone wondering, my name is Frances and I'm a 17-year-old girl from Salt Lake City, Utah. My main personality trait, well at least the one that matters here, is that I'm somewhat obsessed with drones. I first became interested in drones when I

was given a little drone of my own a couple years ago. After ten seconds of exhilarating flight, I promptly flew it into a far away tree and never saw it again. Despite this failure, I still developed a strong interest for the little flying robots and resolved to learn about them and fly another, legally this time (no one told 15-year-old Frances that you should have a license for that thing).

In this blog I plan to share my opinions, research, experience and questions about all things drone related. This might be article reviews, my frustrations in trying to get my part-107 drone license, or just talking about my life as a girl trying to figure out the world of STEM. You may be thinking "Frances, why are you qualified to talk about this subject?" Well, the answer is, I'm not here to give an expert opinion, but rather a fresh set of eyes on the subject as someone who is very intrigued by it all. Some things that really interest me is the use of drones in film, agriculture, security, crime, and more. Thanks for taking a look at my posts!
